Born in Miami, FL, Alex Seda has always had music around him. At an early age, he decided that music was going to be his life. At the age of 11 he began writing music on the electric guitar. This began his journey into the creation of music. After this, he jumped to the bass, the drums and later the piano. In 1994, the form of electronic music was introduced to him. This form of music fascinated him and was imprinted in his mind for life. He was so interested by this music that he would soon begin to learn how it was produced and then, began to create it himself. He started off with just a synthesizer and a drum machine and began to make breakbeat music with the influence of such groups as Dynamix II and Trip Theory. He later went on to school where he learned about music composition, music theory and sound engineering. After he graduated, he took an internship with legendary House DJ/Producer George Morel at his Groove On productions. Here under the guidance of George Morel, he learned the business aspects of how to run a record label. While working for Groove On, he felt like his style was changing from breakbeat to progressive, electro and tribal house. In 2004, he was asked to go to Ibiza where he helped organize and promote the weekly residency that Groove On had at the legendary club Privilege, known in the Guinness book of world records as world's largest club. Here he set up contacts with people from England, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. After the summer of 2004 he decided to go his own way and begin producing songs under his own label which he started with long time friend and producer, T.MAN, which they decided to call Maniac Music. His productions were ranging from progressive, electro, tribal, and funky house. Never wanting to stay to one particular style, but always wanting to keep it new and fresh. He released two singles under Armand Pena's Miami based label, The Rhythm Freak. These tracks were released for the Winter Music Conference of 2005. In the summer of 2005, he left for Ibiza to meet with club owner and producer Otis F. Angel of the Love Club, where he would begin to work as the resident DJ & event coordinator. The Love club has locations in London, Ibiza, Hamburg, Krakow, and now Rome, Miami, & Mexico City coming soon. For the whole year of 2006, he's been playing at all the Love venues and coordinating all the events including the summer season being held in Ibiza. In Ibiza, Alex Seda will be rocking the dance floor every night of the week, just to kick the night off before each superstar DJ takes the decks for himself. Be sure to look out for Alex Seda and his label Maniac Music, this summer at the newest super club, Love.
